Thoughtful Thursdays – Make one more call
Based on my observations and discussions, the job of the professional sales person is more technical than ever. I believe that soft skills are still at the core, but are complemented by the selective use of improving technology.
A greater number of opportunities you have, the more likely it is that sales will grow. Increasing the number of opportunities is the challenge.
- Search one more page on the Internet when looking for your customers competitors for leads
- Make one more call per week. It doesn’t sound like much, but over a year that is fifty-two more than before.
- When networking, ask one more person if they know anyone who might be interested in what you have to offer
Growing to your opportunity list becomes easier when done in small, incremental steps.
