Thoughtful Thursdays – In a hurry? Slow down and sell more
Have you ever been so anxious to close a sale that you got ahead of yourself, lost touch with your sales process and wound up losing the opportunity?
Today’s sales thought is about the benefits of taking the time to properly execute your sales process.
Your sales process helps generate sales in the minimum amount of time. Being in a hurry can often lead to cutting corners and the consequences can leave a disappointed sales professional.
Slow down and:
- Build rapport and get to know your customer better – people buy from people they like
- Minimize over sights – check in with your process
- Confirm expectations – assume nothing
- Clearly understand your customer’s needs – ask the questions, and again assume nothing
- Do it right the first time – stop doing things twice when they only need to be done once
- Plan to close
- Sell more
Good selling,
Richard
