Thoughtful Thursdays – Value selling starts with you
Today’s thought is about value selling. When I talk to my clients about this subject, we work on identifying benefits and quantifying the value being brought to the customer.
Equally and perhaps more important is the value that you bring to the customer. Consider ways you can help make the experience of buying from your company more enjoyable or easier than the competition. In my opinion, this is what added value is all about.
- Facilitate customer account set up
- Track and follow up on the first orders
- Monitor your inventory and make sure there is always enough on hand to meet customer requirements
- If you sense anything is amiss, approach it head on and keep your customer informed
- Make a point of understanding your customers’ business
You are not likely in the habit of buying things you feel are not worth it, so what makes you think your customer is?
Good selling,
Richard
