Thoughtful Thursdays – Having trouble closing the sale?
You feel that you have done everything right, yet the sale just does not seem to be coming your way. You have not lost the opportunity but the sales cycle is taking you in circles.
Today’s thought is about closing the sale.
There comes a time in the sales cycle where the closing the sale should be the logical conclusion. Logical yes, but many times it just does not happen. The fact is that it may not, unless you take action. The close technique I have had most success with is the direct approach.
Try asking for the order and you might be pleasantly surprised. The worst case will be that you will find out why the prospect is not ready to make the purchase, and with that information you will be able to plan your next steps.
When in doubt, ask for the business, it may just shorten your sales cycle.
Good selling,
Richard
