Thoughtful Thursdays – Time to rethink the plan?
The current business climate has many owners pondering the future of their busineses. No matter what external factors the future has in store, now is a good time to take stock and review your business plan.
Pay particular attention to the forecasted cash flow. Begin with your sales forecast and make realistic changes as needed. If sales are adjusted down, consider the affect on cash in and forecasted expenditures. Some purchases may have to be delayed and others moved up. Also look at your operational costs. Lower sales will reduce variable costs, but fixed costs will still have to be covered.
Don’t be discouraged, rather see your business analyis as a motivator for potential change and future business growth.
There may be new opportunities that surface as a result of the new business climate that you will be able to participate in. There will be situations where the business takes on a new direction. Scary and exciting at the same time may bring back memories of when the business was first launched.
Stay positive and keep your vision in your sights.
Good selling,
Richard
