Thoughtful Thursdays – Remind yourself
Over a period of time we establish a sales process that eventually becomes second nature. This is your sales style or brand.
If you are starting out in a sales career, you are developing your sales style and creating the reasons that you will become a success. Successful sales professionals are in the habit of regularly reviewing the reasons for their success.
Here is a starting list of what to remind yourself of:
- Know the reason for every sales call you make
- Set objectives for every meeting
- Have a plan to achieve those objectives
- Know who your audience is
- Know when to walk away
- Know the benefits of the features for the products and services you are offering.
- Remain firm on what is not negotiable
- Avoid burning bridges
- Listen to your customer
- Ask for the order
- Say “Thank you”
Over time it is easy to forget the little things that make a difference. Make a habit of reminding yourself of these things to maximize your sales potential.
Good selling,
Richard
