Thoughtful Thursdays – Avoiding sales burnout
Today`s sales thought is about taking care of yourself. Burn out is real and can happen to anyone. You may know someone who has experienced it or maybe it has happened to you.
Being at the top of the game every day requires significant effort. Part of that effort it to make sure that you block off time for yourself and make sure that it happens.
Taking the time to unwind and relax is just as important as any business meeting. We experience situations that cause or increase stress on a daily basis. When stress levels builds without relief you can become vulnerable to burn out. Ignoring it will not make it go away.
Here are a few suggestions that can keep you healthy and prevent burnout.
- When you leave the office, leave the office behind
- Use your vacation time for vacation, not a working holiday
- Set up back up for when you are away
- Cut back on the junk food
- Stop eating on the run
- Do not cancel your excercise routines for business activities
- Socialize with your friends on a regular basis
- Get your sleep
The sun comes up every day and in the bigger picture your well being is the priority. If you are not healthy you will not be able to perform your job to the best of your abilities.
Good selling,
Richard
