Thoughtful Thursdays – Small business and sales
Sales is one of the biggest challenges for small and micro businesses. It is not necessarily the process of making sales, but managing and executing tasks other than those that are sales related. Business operations, finance and marketing also require resources.
Today’s sales thought is about managing a business while maintaining sales activities.
I recommend to my customers that they not let sales activities drop below two days a week. It is not easy to accomplish, however is even more difficult if sales revenues drop. I also recommend having a plan ready to hire contractors or employees sooner than later.
If your too busy to maintain sales activities for at least two days a week, it is worth checking into getting help.
Think bigger and focus on increasing sales revenues so that the business is in a position to grow. Revenues from sales pay for the costs of doing business.
Good selling,
Richard
