Thoughtful Thursdsay – Sometimes you have to say “No”
I believe that most sales professionals understand that they have to say “No” sometimes.
I also believe that many do not know when to say “No” and the consequences can ultimately have a negative effect on profitability. The key to saying “No” is knowing when to say it.
It is important to determine when to walk away before the situation arises. Do your research and arithmetic and figure out where the line in the sand is that you will not cross.
Perhaps a more difficult decision is to stick to your plan and not cave in. This comes down to being willing to accept the consequences of your decision. If you are not able to accept the worst case scenario then it is not likely that you will stick your plan.
Sometimes you just have to say “No”.
Good selling,
Richard
