Thoughtful Thursdays – Do you demonstrate the characteristics of a successful sale person?

Most experts agree on character traits that successful sales professionals have in common. These include in no particular order

Todays sales thought is about the importance of demonstrating these characteristics every day.

All things being equal, people tend to buy from people they like. Near the top of the list of likeable traits is trust. Trust can be earned through consistent demonstration of honesty, high moral character and transparency. Say what you do and do what you say.

Persistence comes from having the energy to continue with the sales process regardless of the obstacles that are presented.

A good listener is willing to learn. Hearing what is said and gaining insights from the information presented is key to correctly determining needs. This circles back to integrity when you are ready to propose potential solutions.

Conduct is the best proof of character.

Good selling,
Richard
