Thoughtful Thursdays – Gold star for customer service

Today’s sales thought is about a recent excellent customer service experience.

Some time ago I purchased a Zebra 0.5 mm mechanical pencil. It is not special or expensive, but I like the way that it functions. One of the features of the pencil is its twist up eraser. Over a period of time the eraser has worn down and is in need of replacement. I went online to order some replacement erasers and discovered they were not available in local stores. Rather than discard the pencil I decided to contact the manufacture via email to ask them where I might finds the replacement erasers.

The response I received is the reason for awarding Zebra a gold star for customer service.

Apparently replacement erasers for this pencil are not readily available, perhaps that is a topic for another Thoughtful Thursday. In any case they offered to send some to me free of charge.
