Thoughtful Thursdays – 5 easy ways to lose a sale
Making a sale is hard work, losing a sale is easy. So easy in fact that it can happen in the blink of an eye.
Today’s thought is about how easy it is to lose a sales opportunity.
We demonstrate good business behaviour most days. It is the days that are not like most days that can work against us. It is when we are distracted that less than acceptable sales behaviours rise to the top and can cost you a sale.
Five easy ways to lose a sale:
- Arrive late for your meeting, or worse, miss your appointment
- Forget to listen to your prospect
- Interrupt your prospect while they are talking
- Fail to give your prospect your undivided attention
- Don’ t bother to follow up
People buy from people they like. Don’t give your prospects reasons not to like you.
Good selling,
Richard
