Thoughtful Thursdays – Always be working on your game

Today’s thought is about working on your game.

All people at the top of their game, no matter what that game is, work very hard to stay on top.

They know that the competition is waiting for them to falter, eager to take their place.

As a sales professional working on your game includes the visuals such as the way you present yourself .

What is often overlooked is training. After all, you know how to sell, right? Just as your suits require regular cleaning and pressing, your sales skills set will also benefit from “sharpening” on a regular basis.

Over a period of time selling skills loose their edge and without maintenance may lose there original effectiveness. This can translate to lost sales and missed objectives.

Ongoing sales training and sales skills development are as important to working on your game as making sure your shoes are clean and polished.

Good selling,
Richard
