Thoughtful Thursdays – Looking for new prospects?
Another common sales challenge is growing your list of prospects. Todays thought is about ways to increase the size and quality of your prospect list.
How do I find new prospects?
The simple answer to the questions is : “Just ask.”
Ask everyone you know if they know anyone who might be interested in the products/services you have to offer. Who you know includes your existing customers, friends, acquaintances, suppliers – the list can seem endless.
The difficulty in may be a reluctance to ask, the way you ask and the frequency you ask. Be mindful of who you are speaking with and find different ways of asking the question. For example, you may ask an existing customer who they compete with. You may ask friend if they know anyone who might be looking for help in areas where you provide help.
Make the “ask” a part of your prospecting and sales process and , it will eventually become a habit. It may surprise you how many new prospects can be identified just by asking. Prospects identified by asking people you know or already talking to are often of a higher quality as well.
Good selling,
Richard
