Thoughtful Thursdays – How do you measure up?
There are many skills developed on the way to becoming a competent sales person. My sales workshops often include brainstorming desirable and undesirable sales behaviours. Over the years the behaviours identified are very consistent, people know what they like and how they want to be treated. At the core of the behaviours, supporting skills are identified.
Today’s thought is about a self-evaluation of skills related to sales competency.
In my experience, people are very good at many things. One way to rise above the masses is to target specific skills and create a plan of action to achieve the objective of improving those skills.
Here is a handy scorecard you can download and use to rate your sales related skills ans define set improvement objectives. Professional development is often a victim of reduced budgets and tighter economies but is essential for continuous improvement.
Look in the mirror on a regular basis and block off time for personal development. Your new customers will benefit and appreciate it.
Good selling,
Richard
