In my experience it there is not one approach that works for everyone. They are as varied as the personalities you encounter.<\/p>\n<p>I have\u00a0learned there are common characteristics that when consistently demonstrated will help pave the way to\u00a0sales success.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Respect your peoples time &#8211; you are not the only one who is busy<\/li>\n<li>Be yourself &#8211; nothing less<\/li>\n<li>Show\u00a0enthusiasm about the products\/services you are representing &#8211; how do you expect your prospect or customer to be interested if you are not<\/li>\n<li>Smile &#8211; it says a lot<\/li>\n<li>Say thank you &#8211; show appreciation<\/li>\n<li>Listen more than you talk &#8211; how else will you find out their needs<\/li>\n<li>Help, don&#8217;t sell &#8211; facilitate rather than tell<\/li>\n<li>Make it an enjoyable experience &#8211; they will look forward to seeing you again<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It sounds simple, but it is interesting how one can forget what works when experiencing\u00a0information overload.
