Today&#8217;s sales thought is about\u00a0achieving success by\u00a0building on the failures.<\/p>\n<p>Knowing that not everyone will be our customer and using that fact to our advantage is one way\u00a0to become successful. The disappointment of not closing a sales opportunity can be followed by a period of lower activity as we get used to the reality of the situation. The reasons for not making the sale are keys to closing your next opportunity.<\/p>\n<p>It is important to know and understand\u00a0the obstacles that were not overcome and come up with the responses that will knock them down the next time.<\/p>\n<p>Here is a list of common reasons a sales\u00a0are not closed:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Price<\/li>\n<li>Service<\/li>\n<li>Availability<\/li>\n<li>Fear of changing suppliers<\/li>\n<li>Credibility<\/li>\n<li>Forgot to ask for the order<\/li>\n<li>Poor follow up<\/li>\n<li>Quality of product<\/li>\n<li>Approach was too aggressive<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Some of these may not be in your control but most are.
