Today&#8217;s thought is based on that experience and directed to new business owners.<\/p>\n<p>You have conducted market research, positioned the business, set marketing objectives and developed marketing strategies. Basic marketing collateral is in place, yet you insist on&nbsp;investing&nbsp;further on the marketing plan.&nbsp;The website needs updating, brochures need editing, the business identity needs a logo, you want to develop the brand. It is a long list that keeps you from selling the product and\/or service offering.<\/p>\n<p>These are all very&nbsp;important factors, but not right now.<\/p>\n<p>Please go out and sell!<\/p>\n<p>Be mindful that your business plan is an assumption based on several other assumptions. The forecast is based on what you knew at the time&nbsp;the plan&nbsp;was developed.<\/p>\n<p>Would it be wise to allocate&nbsp;additional resources to marketing&nbsp;before first testing your hypothesis?<\/p>\n<p>Please go out and sell.<\/p>\n<p>Consider&nbsp;the primary information gathered in the sales process, compare&nbsp;the new information to your plan and then&nbsp;reassess your marketing plan.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Was&nbsp;the target market correct?<\/li>\n<li>Does&nbsp;your point of differentiation engage your customer?<\/li>\n<li>Does&nbsp;your value proposition represent true value to the customer?<\/li>\n<li>Were&nbsp;the buying motives correctly identified?<\/li>\n<li>Are your strategies&nbsp;connecting emotionally with he customers needs?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Think of is as ongoing due diligence.
