There are several stores on route and I decided to stop into one of the smaller owner operated franchises.<\/p>\n<p>The product I was looking for was out of stock and the sales person&nbsp;offered to call me when new stock arrived. &nbsp;I told her that I really needed to get the product that day. She then asked me which way I was headed and offered to call another store of the same franchise&nbsp;that was on the way. Unfortunately they were also out of stock as well.<\/p>\n<p>I thanked her for making the effort&nbsp;and was about to leave when she said that there was a large pet store, a competitor, nearby and that they would likely have what I was looking for. It had slipped my mind that the competitive store was that close. I thanked her again for the time she had taken to help and I was off.<\/p>\n<p>I&nbsp;award&nbsp;her a&nbsp;customer gold star&nbsp;for going&nbsp;the distance.<\/p>\n<p>She did her best to meet my needs within her own franchise and then referred me to the competition.<\/p>\n<p>Will I go back?
