These are the ones\u00a0who make you want to tear your hair out.<\/p>\n<p>There are many\u00a0ways to test\u00a0your patience\u00a0and todays thought is about working with this customer. No matter the reason, the result is that you end up spending an inordinate amount of time serving the customer and it\u00a0is very frustrating.<\/p>\n<p>An effective way to work with this customer is to reinforce the ground rules with them. The goal is to have them be mindful and respectful of your time.<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes\u00a0it is the\u00a0sales persons\u00a0willingness to be helpful\u00a0combined with the\u00a0fear of losing the sale that sets up a favourable environment for the customer to have unreasonable expectations.<\/p>\n<p>Listen, empathize and be mindful of your customers concerns. Your response will set the tone for future conversations. Be understanding yet firm and stick to the plan. Get agreement with that plan of action and be accountable to it. Meet the expectations that have been agree to. Hold your customer accountable as well and build mutual respect.<\/p>\n<p>There\u00a0will be\u00a0some that\u00a0 never seem to be happy, yet they continue to buy.
