Thoughtful Thursdays – The repetitive nature of sales
Sales is a process of repetitive steps, so is this post. A variation appeared a few years ago.
Are you prepared for the year end? There is no need for it to be a stressful time of year. Creating structure and discipline that can be repeated in coming years will help ease the stress of rushing to complete year end activities.
Some of your customers will be on reduced schedules over the coming holiday season and others will be incredibly busy. Be mindful that your competitors will be going through the same exercise and plan accordingly. The further out in front of the calendar you can be, the better.
From today there are approximately five business days left in the year. Yikes! No stress here!
- Make appointments with your key customers now. Expressing your best wishes is a good reason to call.
- Review your budgets, identify sales to budget gaps and make sure you are not leaving anything to chance.
- Set aside time for your own year end review and 2019 planning.
- Schedule time to thank your internal customers for their support.
Do like the guy with the beard in the red suit.
Make a list, check it twice and get it done.
Good selling,
Richard
