Thoughtful Thursdays – Plan to make your sales day more enjoyable

We often hear that is all about the customer. It is important to remember that it is also about you, the sales professional. A happy sales professional closes more sales.

With that in mind, today’s thought is about making your sales day more enjoyable.

Your day will be more enjoyable if planned in a way that provides sales challenges as well as some “easy” calls. A key part of planning the day is to block off time to do the things that you need to do such as checking and responding to messages and getting from one appointment to the next.

  1. Schedule your first call of the day with a good customer to set a good tone for the rest of the day
  2. Allow sufficient time between appointments for travel to prevent the need to rush
  3. Set aside time to check and respond to messages
  4. Have lunch with a friend
  5. Make one call on a new prospect
  6. Schedule to meet with a challenging customer and do your homework to prepare for the call

Good selling,
Richard
