Thoughtful Thursdays – Spilled milk – Stop crying

We all lose business from time to time. Sometimes it is not in our control and unfortunately sometimes it is. Life is like that.

Today’s thought is about dealing with the loss of business. Regardless of whether it was or was not in you control, learn from the experience. Put steps in place to insure it does not happen again.

Professional sales people will continue to call on the customer to maintain and build the relationship. What was once a customer is now a prospect and the sales cycle is put into motion again.

Be mindful of re-living and dwelling on the past. Your customer has moved on and so should you. The last thing they want to hear is crying over spilled milk. Initiate your sales process and take the necessary steps to regain your former position as the supplier.

Be persistent as it will likely take time.

Good selling,
Richard
